Project Engineer

Overview

Kelley Trucking Inc. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role is essential in supporting the successful execution of our construction and infrastructure projects by coordinating schedules, tracking costs, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to support daily operations and project execution

• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and compliance

• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules

• Monitor project costs, quantities, and budgets to ensure accurate financial tracking

• Track production progress and report on project performance

• Identify risks that could impact budgets or schedules and help develop solutions

• Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs)

• Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities

• Support invoicing and cost tracking in partnership with the accounting team

• Ensure required permits, certifications, and safety documentation are in place

• Help implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and promote a safe work environment


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field

1–3 years of construction or project engineering experience preferred

• Working knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control

• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently, and in a team-oriented environment


Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 annually

Fueler/Oiler

Kelley Trucking Inc. is seeking applications for safety oriented Heavy Equipment Fueler /Oiler. Fueler/Oiler will service heavy equipment on construction sites- not drive fuel tankers for service stations.


Requirements:

• Hold a Class B/Hazmat Tanker License

• Work per OSHA regulations

• Work with other mechanics

• Two years of experience preferred

Kelley Trucking Inc. is seeking applications for safety-oriented Class A CDL drivers for in-town aggregate hauling.


Requirements:

· Class A CDL

· 2 years minimum driving experience

· Valid CDL medical card

· Good MVR

· Must adhere to all FMCSA regulations

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Full-Time Position $22-$40 / hour*


Kelley Trucking Inc. is seeking applications for safety oriented Heavy Equipment Mechanics. Experience with Caterpillar Equipment is preferred, not required.


Mechanics will demonstrate the ability to:

· Diagnose and repair equipment

· Repair and install major components in CAT equipment

· Work per OSHA regulations

· Understand electrical and hydraulic schematics

· Safely rig components for lifting

· Read, comprehend and apply information from parts manuals

· Work with other mechanics
